Suburb Profiles

Swanbourne is an affluent western coastal suburb, named after the town of the same name in Bucks, England.

With popular Swanbourne Beach and surf club on the Western edge and Claremont town site on the Eastern side, the area has many appealing features.

The style of homes varies from spacious quality character homes on 1012m2 to modern 2 storey houses on compact lots. There are however many modest dwellings of different ages which are ripe for renovation or redevelopment. The beach, with easy access to the cafes of neighbouring Cottesloe, the playing fields and natural bus land of Allen park, the quaint shopping village adjacent to Swanbourne Railway Station all add to the appeal of the area.

Scotch College and Swanbourne Primary School are just two local schools, with other public and private schools nearby. Recreational areas such as golf courses (3) swimming pools (3) and playing fields are all close by. Swanbourne is served by the Swanbourne train station.
