Bibra Lake is located approximately 20 minutes south of Perth. The lake itself was founded in 1842 and has had several name changes over the years. It was originally named Lake Walubup, then Lake Walliabup however, in the summer of 1843 a man by the name Benedict von Bibra purchased some land at the edge of the lake to use for camping purposes, because of this, the locals called it Bibra’s Lake. The name was then changed in 1967 to Bibra Lake. This suburb is a much loved area with Adventure World Theme Park, Cockburn Ice Arena, Paint Balling & Laser Tag are just a few family activities available within the area.
